Audi took off the covers to the striking A6 e-tron concept last week at the Shanghai Auto Show and already, the car has been rendered as an Avant. Unsurprisingly, it looks even better as a wagon than it does as a sedan.
This clip comes courtesy of TheSketchMonkey and according to the artist, Audi did a great job of the A6 e-tron’s design. However, he adds that for the most part, the Avant versions of Audi models typically look better than their sedan counterparts and that’s what prompted him to transform the latest Audi concept into a wagon.

The first change made by the artist is to the taillights of the A6 e-tron. The taillights of the concept are made up of dozens of little LED squares but TheSketchMonkey thought the car would look better with solid LED strips and we agree. He then proceeds to graft on the roof and rear hatch of an Audi wagon and unsurprisingly, it suits the rest of the vehicle’s design absolutely perfectly.
While Audi has confirmed that the A6 e-tron concept will spawn a production model, it is unclear if the automaker will be prompted to make an Avant variant. We think doing so would be a wise decision as it would no doubt broaden the appeal of the car.
In concept guise, the A6 e-tron is underpinned by a 100 kWh battery pack that sits at the center of the PPE platform. This battery supports 800-watt charging technology and gives the concept a cool 435 miles (700 km) of range. The concept also features a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 470 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque.
