Audi introduced the Q4 e-trons yesterday, but another one is inbound as the company has teased a mysterious model for the Shanghai Auto Show.
The automaker is keeping details under wraps, but confirmed the unveiling will be a world premiere. They also released a teaser sketch which is vaguely reminiscent of the e-tron GT.
As you can see, the mysterious model will have a fully enclosed grille with a black surround. The latter flows into sizeable air intakes with bright metal bars. The model also features slender headlights and a central air intake with e-tron badging.

Elsewhere, we can see a long hood and pronounced fenders. The model also has stylish two-tone alloy wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system with red calipers.
The sketch isn’t much to go on, but the model appears to be either a sedan, sportback or wagon. It’s also likely a concept and it could potentially preview an upcoming production model.
While a lot of questions remain, Audi will introduce at least 20 electric vehicles by 2025. Besides the Q4 e-trons, the company has promised other models based on the MEB platform and has said they’ll range from compact to medium-sized vehicles with “fascinating design, high-quality interior workmanship and a top-of-the-line operating system.”
Audi is also working on a premium PPE architecture, which will underpin an assortment of vehicles including wagons, crossovers, sportbacks and SUVs. This platform could underpin the mysterious e-tron as the company has previously teased a PPE-based Sportback-Layout concept and reports had suggested it could go into production in 2023.
The automaker also has an Artemis Project, which is set to spawn a “highly efficient electric car” as early as 2024.
While we’re not entirely sure what Audi has up their sleeve, we’ll find out soon enough as the Shanghai Auto Show kicks off on April 19th.
