More people have chosen to place an order for a Bugatti in the first three months of the year than in any quarter in the company’s modern history, helping the Molsheim firm exceed its expectations and self-assigned targets.
While announcing the record, Bugatti did not release any specific sales numbers. Still, they claim to have delivered over 300 hypercars since production of the Chiron started in 2017. Another 150 build slots have been secured, which means that approximately 50 are still available for multi-millionaires.

“It fills me with joy and pride that, despite the pandemic, we started the year very well and were able to take more orders than ever before”, said President Stephan Winkelmann. “Even if face-to-face contact is still rare in 2021 and the number of digital meetings have increased, we were able to maintain a relationship and contact with our customers and friends of the brand.”
In other related news, Bugatti has announced that “friends of the brand can look forward to the Chiron Super Sport 300+, optimized for longitudinal dynamics, later this year.”
At the same time, development of the Centodieci continues, with the company announcing that the hypercar that pays homage to the EB110 is in the final testing stages and will be handcrafted starting early next year.
Priced at €8 million (equal to ~$9.6 million) and limited to 10 units, which were sold out in no time, the Centodieci has exclusive looks inspired by the 1990s EB110. It uses the same quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that powers the Chiron, with 99 HP (100 PS / 74 kW) more, for a total of 1,578 HP (1,600 PS / 1,176 kW). Top speed is electronically capped at 236 mph (380 km/h), and from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h), it needs 2.4 seconds.
