A small company out of Germany dubbed Elektron Motors has just released renderings and details of an all-electric hypercar dubbed the Quasar. As is so often the case with new hypercars from little-known companies, however, the Quasar doesn’t exist yet.

Elektron claims that its Quasar hypercar will feature four electric motors that combine to pump out an extraordinary 2,300 hp, giving it even more power than the likes of the Rimac C_Two, Pininfarina Battista, and Lotus Evija. As if the peak horsepower number wasn’t impressive enough, the company asserts the car will tips the scales at just 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg).

No details have been provided about the vehicle’s battery pack but Elektron says it will be able to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in as little as 1.65 seconds and max out at a limited top speed of 280 mph (450 km/h).

Images released of the Quasar reveal that its design has been heavily influenced by the Koenigsegg Jesko – which we guess is a good thing, although we don’t know how it’ll sit with the Swedish automaker.

The front of the Quasar features angular headlights and includes a curved LED daytime running light running across the outer edge of the hood. The car also features carbon fiber canards and a pronounced carbon fiber splitter. Elsewhere, the car has a curved windshield and roof design virtually identical to what all Koenigseggs have had for the past two decades. The Koenigsegg inspiration continues with a very similar engine cover, shark fin, and rear wing.

What is unique about the Quasar is its interior that includes a digital gauge cluster, a large infotainment screen neatly incorporated into the dashboard, and a display in front of the passenger.

Elektron Motors says the Quasar will launch in 2023 and will be built in just 99 examples.
