Buick has teased the Envision Plus, ahead of its debut in Shanghai on April 18th.
The company is keeping details under wraps, but confirmed the crossover will have a “segment-leading size” as well as an extended wheelbase that spans 111.5 inches (2,833 mm). This is 2.1 inches (54 mm) longer than the standard model and it promises to provide a “spacious and premium cabin experience.”
Besides the increased dimensions, the crossover will adopt a flatter beltline and new rear quarter glass. The model will also have new rear doors and a revised rear end with a more upright liftgate.

Little else is known about the model at this point, but Buick said the Envision Plus will have “GM’s most advanced electric architecture, an all-new propulsion system, the newest Buick eConnect connectivity system and industry-leading intelligent driving technologies to more than satisfy those who appreciate the unmatched combination of safety and versatility of a premium SUV.”
That isn’t much to go on, but the Chinese-spec Envision S has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 233 hp (174 kW / 237 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission, which enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in as little as 7.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).
In a statement, SAIC-GM’s Molly Peck said the model will “join the Envision and Envision S to further strengthen Buick’s presence in premium SUVs through its impressive styling, segment-leading functionality and enhanced connectivity that will meet local consumers’ diverse needs.”
