Ford Focus Vignale Reportedly Dropped In The UK Due To Poor Sales

Having accounted for only 4.4 percent of total model sales, the Focus Vignale has reportedly been retired from the brand’s UK family.

A spokesperson confirmed the decision to Autocar, although the Vignale versions of the Focus and Focus Active are still listed on the official website. The Focus Vignale Edition has a £27,845 ($38,381) retail price, whereas the Focus Active X Vignale Edition starts at £28,215 ($38,891).

The two models are topped only by the Focus ST hot hatch, which starts at £29,995 ($41,344). Further down the range, we find the Active X Edition, Active Edition and ST-Line X Edition, which cost £26,365 ($36,341), £23,915 ($32,964) and £26,315 ($36,272) respectively. The lineup also includes the ST-Line Edition, Titanium X Edition and Titanium Edition, priced from £24,115 ($33,240), £25,065 ($34,549) and £23,465 ($32,344) respectively. The most affordable Focus is the £21,995 ($30,317) Zetec Edition.

The gear that was standard on the Vignale, such as the adaptive LED headlights, wide-view reversing camera, head-up display and Windsor leather seats, is said to have become optional for other grades.

It is yet unknown whether the decision to drop the Vignale versions of the Focus and Focus Active is limited strictly to the UK market or if it applies to other European countries as well. We reached out to Ford Europe to find out and will be updating this story when we hear back from them.

In the meantime, the British website says that the Fiesta supermini, Puma subcompact crossover and Kuga compact SUV, as well as the Mondeo sedan and estate are still available in the Vignale spec.
