Texas is the truck capital of the United States and automakers pay homage to that fact by offering special editions which are exclusive to the Lone Star state.
The latest is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail edition, which celebrates the addition of two Texas trails – including the Black Gap 4×4 trail in Big Bend National Park and the Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport – to their Jeep Badge of Honor program.
The special edition is based on the Gladiator Sport S and features a unique exterior with “Texas Trail” hood and tailgate decals, which reference the 1836 Texas Declaration of Independence. The truck also has side steps, a black hardtop, and 17-inch mid-gloss black aluminum wheels wrapped in 32-inch mud-terrain tires.

Interior changes are limited, but include black leather seats with an embossed Texas Trail graphic. The truck also comes equipped with the Convenience and Technology packages, which add an automatic climate control system, a universal garage door opener, a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster, and a 7-inch Uconnect 4 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Speaking of equipment, the special edition comes standard with the Trailer Tow Group. It includes a class IV receiver hitch, an upgraded alternator, a heavy-duty engine cooling system, and a hitch view camera function.
The 2021 Gladiator Texas Trail is currently available at Texas Jeep dealers and pricing starts at $40,435 before a destination charge of $1,495.
