The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a juggernaut that regularly sees films earning more than $1 billion (£719 / €827 million).

Given that, it’s little surprise automakers line up to have their vehicles featured in Marvel movies. While Audi and Acura stepped up for the first slate of films, it appears BMW is taking over.

We’ve already seen a BMW crossover in a trailer for Black Widow, but they’re far more prominent in a clip for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In it, we can see an M8 and 7-Series as well as a bus that destroys two i8s and a classic Porsche 924 / 944.

Little is known about the film at this point. The movie stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi who thought he left his past behind him but is “drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.” He’s joined by Tony Leung, Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.

The movie is slated to hit theaters on September 3, which is less than two months after Black Widow is released on July 9th. That’s a pretty short window, but Black Widow was originally scheduled to come out in May of 2020 and was bumped several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s far from alone as No Time To Die, Dune and F9, to name but three blockbusters, have also seen their releases pushed back.
