Kia is hard at work developing the next-generation Sportage and these renderings provide us with yet another accurate look at what the SUV should look like.

A handful of prototypes have been spied testing in recent months and it’s clear that Kia is adopting a radical new design philosophy to differentiate the new Sportage from the outgoing model.

Found at the front and included in these renderings will be the latest iteration of the company’s tiger-nose grille that seamlessly connects with angular headlights and large LED daytime running lights. The front end also includes fog lights in the lower portion of the bumper. There will certainly be no mistaking the new Sportage for any other Kia model.

YouTuber Gotcha Cars has rendered the new Sportage in a handful of different colors that are contrasted by black and silver wheels as well as black pillars and a black roof.

These renderings don’t show the latest-generation Sportage from the rear but a recent spy video indicates that it will undergo a radical overhaul just like the front. Immediately catching the eye will be sharp LED taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a unique tailgate.

Kia can also be expected to overhaul the interior of the new Sportage and will likely do so with a new infotainment screen that runs the Nvidia Drive platform incorporating audiovisual, navigation, connectivity, and artificial intelligence connected-services.

Engine details remain unconfirmed but we expect to see the new Sportage unveiled in the coming months and will learn more then.
