In the world of insane electric vehicles like the Tesla Model S Plaid, the upcoming tri-motor version of the Lucid Air, and hypercars like the Rimac C_Two, Pininfarina Battista, and Lotus Evija, it’s easy to be fooled into thinking that to have fun in an electric vehicle you need well over 700 hp or, in the event of a hypercar, almost 2,000 hp. That couldn’t be any further from the truth.
Not too long ago, a sedan with anything over 300 hp was considered quite fast and one with 400 hp was a serious performance weapon. That’s exactly where the entry-level Porsche Taycan RWD fits in.

Porsche launched the entry-level RWD version after the Taycan Turbo S, Turbo, and 4S models, all of which feature dual electric motors, one on each axle. All three are very quick and very fun to drive but that doesn’t mean the rear-wheel drive one isn’t an absolute ball to hustle through some corners.
We’ve seen a number of reviews of the Taycan RWD in the past and this latest one comes from Autogefühl. Like all other reviews from the YouTuber channel, this is comprehensive and discusses both the exterior and interior design of the electric sedan before the presenter jumps behind the wheel for a blast along an unrestricted section of the Autobahn. He then takes the Taycan up a windy country road where he is able to test its handling and suggests that it is indeed more fun to drive along such roads than the more upmarket all-wheel drive models.
