If you’re in the market for a used Ford GT, then you’re in luck as that is what we have here. Well, kind of…

This 2005 GT is currently up for auction through Copart in Montana and is being offered with a California title. As is always the case with damaged and salvaged vehicles sold on Copart, no details are provided that explain how the iconic mid-engined supercar ended up in such a sorry state, other than citing “burn” as its primary damage.

Obviously, the supercar was involved in a very serious accident and the resulting inferno completely destroyed it. The only identifiable components are two wheels and the engine, perhaps suggesting that the GT split in half when it was crashed.

Bidding for the vehicle has yet to open but even when it does, we don’t expect this to attract much interest. After all, it is simply a pile of scrap metal that doesn’t even resemble a car and will serve no imaginable purpose for whoever may end up buying it.
