Lamborghini sales are soaring, as the company announced that they have posted record first-quarter sales.

The Italian carmaker delivered a total of 2,422 vehicles from January to March this year, 25+ percent more compared to the same period of 2020 and 22 percent more than the first quarter of 2019, which is now their second-best ever.

“Lamborghini continues to respond to strong market demand with a growing appeal, despite the ongoing market challenges and uncertainties”, said company President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann. “We are ready to pursue new objectives we have set and to respond concretely, with significant innovations, to the moment of extensive transformation that is affecting the automotive industry as a whole.”

Unsurpisingly, the Urus remains the Raging Bull’s best-seller by far. The company sold 1,382 units of the super SUV, which was followed by the Huracan, with 753 examples. The Aventador was the least favorite Lamborghini in Q1, as it accounted for 287 sales.

The automaker says that they noticed “positive momentum at this early stage of the year” in the United States, China and Germany, without releasing any numbers though.

In 2020, Lamborghini sold 7,430 vehicles worldwide, a 9 percent drop over 2019 that was attributed to the 70-day production shutdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The Urus was its best-seller, with 4,391 units, while the Huracan and Aventador followed with 2,193 and 846 units respectively.
