It’s not very often that you see a hunting vehicle in the U.S. that’s not a pickup truck but thanks to a company by the name of Starwood Customs, there is now a Toyota Prius that’s been specially prepped to help one hunter in Texas.

Starwood Customs has a wealth of experience making wild off-roaders and hunting vehicles but this is the first time it has used a Prius as the base for one of its creations. We have no idea how much it cost to convert this Prius into the vehicle you see before you but think it was worth every penny.

Adorning the exterior of the car is matte green paintwork that will help to ensure it blends into the forest, allowing the owner to sneak up on their prey without spooking it. However, it is not the new paint scheme that is the biggest point of difference between this Prius and a standard one.

Starwood Customs has ripped out the hatch of the standard model and replaced it with a dedicated hunting platform. The result may look a little strange but this creation is all about practicality and also includes all the gun mounts you could ever need for a hunting vehicle. It has also been fitted with beadlock wheels and mud-terrain tires to ensure it can tackle some harsh Texas terrain. Admittedly, the relatively low ride height compared to a typical pickup could prove to be its Achilles heel.

Other modifications made to the Prius include the fitment of a winch up front, a cargo rack, and a roof-mounted cargo rack that can carry a spare wheel.
