Kia has officially opened order books for the 2021 EV6 across Europe having already obtained more than 33,000 prospects and 7,300 reservations for the vehicle.
The car manufacturer confirmed in a press release that it has also received more than 26,000 expressions of interest in the EV6 and, according to Kia, all of the interest in the EV6 already accounts for 300 per cent of the planned production run for this year.

“It’s extremely encouraging as Kia looks ahead to the future of electric mobility with the new EV6, based on our new dedicated EV platform (E-GMP),” Kia Europe president Jason Jeong said. “The high number of customers who have already put their name down for the EV6 highlights the strong demand and we are confident that the launch of the EV6 will be also very successful.”
Prices in Europe start at €44,990 ($62,579) and earlier this week, Kia announced pricing details for the EV6 in the UK. Standard models, outfitted with the 77kWh battery pack and a single electric motor at the rear axle, will start at £40,895 ($56,502) while the range will be topped out by the EV6 GT-Line S model offered in rear-wheel drive (£48,395 – US$66,864) and all-wheel drive (£51,895 – US$71,700) configurations. In other European markets the EV6 is also offered with a smaller 58 kWh battery, but the UK misses out on this option.
Kia has not yet published specifications for the EV6 for the U.S. market, nor has it announced local pricing. Nevertheless, it expected to start at roughly $45,000 before federal EV tax incentives.
