After completing the cold weather testing phase in Scandinavia, the 2022 Lamborghini Urus has arrived at the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany for some more fine-tuning.

This is where this camouflaged prototype was spotted by our spy photographers, lighting up the circuit with its glowing red brakes at the end of a fast lap.

Did you notice the apparent swollen body of the Italian super SUV? This makes us think of the rumored EVO (name unconfirmed) version that will supposedly be a stripped down model with more power and meaner styling. And judging by the fender flares, bigger side skirts and what appears to be a new diffuser at the back, we could very well be looking at the track-focused model.

If we are, then it should launch with an upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, producing in excess of 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque. The extra oomph will make it quicker off the line than the current Urus, which needs 3.6 seconds to hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark. Besides the sporty design and enhanced engine, the Urus EVO is expected to feature a stiffer suspension setup and beefier brakes.

The facelifted Urus will reportedly celebrate its market launch in early 2022, and will feature the usual styling tweaks at both ends, alongside a possible infotainment system update and new driver assistance technologies. It will also electrify the lineup with a hybrid variant, believed to boast in excess of 800 HP.
