Audi has unveiled six special versions of its R8 LMS GT2 race car, each with a unique paint scheme.
Known as the ‘Color Edition’, the six R8s pictured are the only that will be produced, each available to purchase from €349,000 (US$419,000) plus VAT. The cars are finished in Kyalami Green, Misano Red, Nogaro Blue, Sebring Black, Tactical Green, and Vegas Yellow.

“For the first time in the 13-year history of Audi Sport customer racing we are offering such a color concept to our customers,” Head of Audi Sport customer racing Chris Reinke said. “With one model per color, our Color Edition guarantees pure individuality and will not be issued a second time like this. It is unique compared to our competitors and attracts attention – whether as a collector’s item or as a race car at track days and competitions.”
Audi will build each of the six Color Edition models at the Neckarsulm site where the standard version of the R8 LMS GT2 is built. The road-going model is also assembled at the same site.
The German car manufacturer first unveiled the R8 LMS GT2 in mid-2019 as its most powerful customer race car ever. It is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 that churns out 630 hp and has been fitted with a bespoke exhaust system. The R8 LMS GT2 also features radical new bodywork that makes it significantly wider than the street car.
