Alfa Romeo will build just 500 examples of the Giulia GTA and GTAm and it has been confirmed that 18 of them are heading Down Under.
The car manufacturer’s Australian division says the majority of orders placed have been for the Giulia GTAm while stating that a “limited number” of the GTA models have also been reserved. Local deliveries are expected to commence later this year.
Everyone who has ordered a Giulia GTA will receive an Alfa Romeo GTA racing helmet and car cover while those who order the GTAm will also receive a full Alfa Romeo GTA racing suit, including gloves, boots, helmet, and a car cover.

“What makes this vehicle truly unique is the personalization offered to the 18 fortunate Australians who will soon own a special piece of Alfa Romeo history, being one of the 500 vehicles produced globally,” director of marketing communications for Alfa Romeo Tom Noble said in a statement. “As part of the exclusive global program, the 18 Australian owners will receive a certified, numbered vehicle, and will further have the opportunity to personalize their GTA. Reminiscent of the spirit of the 1965 Giulia GTA, customers will select the liveries, the brake calipers, the interior stitching, seat belts and even the roll bar for those who’ve secured a GTAm. It’s a truly special experience.”
Both the Giulia GTA and GTAm feature an upgraded version of the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 used by the Giulia Quadrifoglio. This engine pumps out 532 hp and sends its power to the rear wheels, allowing the two sedans to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds.
The hardcore variants of the Giulia also went on a diet. As such, they are loaded with carbon fiber parts and come standard with a titanium exhaust from Akrapovic. All up, they weigh 220 lbs (100 kg) less than a standard Quadrifoglio.
