Ford, BMW and Honda all make some interesting performance cars, and they even offer them in special editions. So, which of the three does it better?

Throttle House finds out in their latest video, which sees the Honda Civic Type R LE, BMW M2 CS, and Ford Mustang Mach 1 pitted against each other. It is worth noting that all three cars have been fitted with the same Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Honda’s approach is that of a practical car that can be used every day but is still fun to drive. it doubles down on that principle with four doors, a (relatively) fuel efficient four-cylinder engine, and FWD. And because it’s light and not overpowered, its full performance can actually be used in places other than a track.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the approach Ford has taken with the Mach 1 is very American to say the least. Two doors, RWD, and a big powerful V8 is the name of this car’s game, however it benefits from some extra performance upgrades over the standard GT that make better suited for cornering.

Last but certainly not least is the M2 CS, which seems to strike a balance between the other two. Yes it has two doors and RWD, but it eschews a raucous V8 in favor of a has a smooth twin-turbo inline-six. Yes it’s track ready, but it also has a supple leather-lined interior and usable rear seats.

In the end, it was the M2 that took victory, as it was the perfect blend of power, handling, and livability. To see the full comparison for yourself, you can check out the video below.
