Bugatti has partnered with VIITA, an Austrian smartwatch manufacturer, to make a smartwatch worthy of its exquisite hypercars.
Offered in three interchangeable styles, the watches are inspired by Bugatti’s cars. That means that you can pick from the Bugatti Ceramique Edition One Pur Sport, the Le Noire, and the Divo. These, of course, are named after the very limited-edition variants of the Bugatti Chiron.
Interestingly, the price isn’t obscene, as you might expect from a luxury-brand automotive-associated watch. Available for pre-order on Kickstarter, early backers can sign up for a package that includes the watch two bezel styles and some accessories which starts at €899 ($1,095 USD). Although those are limited to 100 for each watch style, later backers can get a similar package for €999 ($1,217 USD) and the “full price” is €1,239 ($1,510 USD). That’s not an insignificant amount of money, but the Chiron Tourbillon made by Jacob & Co. costs a staggering $280,000.

Granted, the Tourbillon is a luxury timepiece with an intricate complication that’s on a totally different league. On the other hand, it can’t measure your heart rate or track your Bugatti with GPS, so it’s not like the 1,000-piece smartwatch is completely devoid of technical cleverness.
With the information it gleans about your heart rate, the new smartwatch can provide you with information about cardiovascular recovery, offer training recommendations, determine your biological age, your stress level, and more. The watch can also measure lap times and acceleration data if you take your car out on track.
The battery lasts 14 days between charges and the high definition screen features a 390×390 pixel LED touchscreen display. Buyers will get a comfortable rubber strap or a bespoke titanium strap to match the watch’s titanium theme of the case.
“We only select partners who match Bugatti’s benchmark levels of performance, high quality, and design execution, with no room for compromise, as our customers expect nothing less than perfection,” said Stephan Winkelmann, president of Bugatti. “The Bugatti smartwatch line offers utmost luxury, bespoke software, and features embedded in highest quality materials.”
Finally, the smartwatch comes with a five-year warranty. You can buy it now on Kickstarter and deliveries are expected to start in October.
