A few months ago, Rocket League revealed they would be collaborating with Formula 1 for their Season 3 update as a way to attract new fans to the motorsport. The original clip only showed the car in a generic Rocket League color scheme, but a new trailer confirms that the teams’ actual liveries will be available as well.
The “Formula 1 Fan Pack”, as it’s called, will feature the 2021-spec car from the single-seater racing series with each of the 10 teams’ liveries available as decals. To add to the realism, the liveries will all be complemented by a set of Pirelli-branded tires. The car will have rocket boost and a Dominus hitbox, and will cost 2000 credits ($20 USD) in the in-game item shop when it becomes available starting May 20.

The pack and accompanying Formula 1 Player Banner will remain available until May 26, after which they will go away. However, they will incidentally return to coincide with major events on the F1 calendar. As mentioned in the original Season 3 announcement, players will be able to use the F1 car (or any car for that matter) on the redesigned DFH Stadium, which now features a handful of racing-themed elements.

As for the trailer itself, it features in-game footage of the car mixed in with some clips from actual Formula 1 races. The whole thing is narrated by F1 commentator David Croft, and of course features his signature catchphrase: “It’s lights out and away we go!”
The Formula 1 Fan Pack will join the NASCAR Fan Pack as the second motorsports series to be featured in the popular car soccer game.
