Japanese aftermarket specialist DAMD has just unveiled two bodykits for the Daihatsu Taft kei car, named the Little-D and the 80’s.
Those familiar with DAMD may recognize the Little-D nameplate as it is also used on a bodykit offered for the Suzuki Jimny. Just like that kit, the Little-D bodykit for the Taft has been designed to mimic the looks of the original Land Rover Defender.

Found at the front of the kit is a prominent ‘Little-D’ badge on the hood, a blacked-out grille and a black bumper. DAMD has also designed a set of new wheels for the Taft and wrapped them in off-road tires. The tuner has also applied a Union Jack sticker to the sides and equipped the Taft with a roof rack complete with wooden accents and two prominent spotlights. A handful of alterations have been made to the interior, including new green plaid fabric and black vinyl for the seats, while customers can opt for Gray and Royal Red interior color schemes.
As for the second kit, simply known as the ‘80’s’, it has been designed to mimic Toyota trucks and pickups from the 1980s, in particular the Land Cruiser. Key changes include a unique front grille and bumper, distinctive wheels, a revised hood, and red and orange vinyls along the sides. The same interior options as the Little-D are also available for the 80’s.
