Hennessey Performance has been busy tuning the Ram 1500 TRX and has just tested its 1,000 hp upgrade package on the dyno for the first time.

The Ram 1500 TRX leaves the factory with the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 that’s rated at 702 hp and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. Having that kind of power in a pickup truck sounds absolutely absurd but evidently, there are some people out there that want even more power. That’s where Hennessey comes in.

The example tested in this video is the Mammoth 1000 model and while we recently saw a Mammoth 900 strapped onto the dyno and being put through its paces, this example is obviously a touch more powerful.

To boost the performance of the Mammoth 1000, Hennessey has fitted an upgraded supercharger, various pulley upgrades, a high-flow exhaust, and new HPE calibration. The Texas tuner claims this results in 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft of torque.

During this dyno run the wild pickup churned out 761 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, up from the stock model’s 584 hp and 561 lb-ft. We’re sure this added power has a transformative effect on how the car drives and makes it that little bit more unhinged.

“The RAM 1500 TRX is exciting in stock configuration, but I’m seeking extraordinary,” John Hennessey said when first launching this 1,000 hp variant of the TRX. “The MAMMOTH 1000 upgrades completely transform this impressive pickup into something astonishingly powerful, visually exciting, and indisputably unique.”
