Kia has been working on a facelifted variant of the K9 / K900 for quite some time now and these renderings provide us with an idea of how it might look.
With various new Kia models adopting radical exterior and interior designs, the outgoing model is showing its age. Fortunately, a facelift should help to modernize the sedan and could be unveiled before the end of this year.
Starting at the front, these renderings from Kolesa depict the new K9 / K900 with a completely new front fascia that includes thinner and more angular headlights, which are quite different from the current model’s. In addition, the grille has been tweaked while changes have also been made to the lower grille. Of course, Kia’s new badge is also featured.

A handful of facelifted K9 / K900 models have been spied testing in recent months and all have been clad in thick body cladding hiding their re-designed front fascias. However, what these prototypes have revealed is that the new car will feature tweaked taillights with a prominent LED light bar, which is also present in these renderings. Like the new headlights, this light bar also makes the car feel a touch more modern.
Technical specifications about the new model remain unclear but it seems likely that the flagship 5.0-liter V8 still offered in some markets will be retired and the engine family will be comprised by turbocharged units only.
