Mercedes-AMG continues to build up excitement ahead of the impending launch of the production-ready Project One and has now showcased the hybrid hypercar being driven on the street by chief technology officer Jochen Hermann.
In this video shared to Facebook, Hermann is seeing leaving a Mercedes-Benz facility in the AMG Project One before heading onto public roads. Admittedly, it is cool to see the car on the street, even if only for a brief time and covered in a unique red, black, and grey paint scheme designed to hide some of its design details.

In recent months, Mercedes-AMG has been feverishly testing the Project One to get it ready for production. Despite being hit with a handful of delays, customer deliveries are scheduled to begin this year.
The hypercar features a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine used in the Mercedes-AMG F1 W07 from the 2016 Formula 1 season that has been comprehensively modified so it now idles at 1,280 rpm and revs through to 11,000 rpm. This engine alone is said to pump out 748 hp and works in conjunction with four electric motors that separately deliver approximately 603 hp. However, as the engine and electric motors deliver their peak power at different times, combined output is expected to sit at just above 1,000 hp.
