Mercedes introduced the EQA earlier this year and the lineup is already expanding as the company has announced the EQA 300 4MATIC and EQA 350 4MATIC.
Designed to slot above the EQA 250, the models are equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. It’s rear biased and power is adjusted between the front and rear axles 100 times per second.
Jumping into the numbers, the EQA 300 4MATIC has a combined output of 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS) and 288 lb-ft (390 Nm) of torque. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.7 seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h).
Likewise, the EQA 350 4MATIC has an upgraded powertrain that produces 288 hp (215 kW / 292 PS) and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm) of torque. This cuts the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time to six seconds flat, while the top speed remains unchanged at 99 mph (160 km/h).

Both are equipped with a lithium-ion battery pack that has a useable capacity of 66.5 kWh. This enables the crossovers to have an NEDC range of 306 miles (493 km), but that drops to between 249-265 miles (400-426 km) and 254-268 miles (409-432 km) under the WLTP.
Given their premium positioning, the crossovers come nicely equipped with LED headlights, a power liftgate and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, a 64 color ambient lighting system, GPS navigation, and “luxury seats” with four-way adjustable lumbar support.
The models are currently available to order and pricing starts at €53,538.10 for the EQA 300 4MATIC and €56,215.60 for the EQA 350 4MATIC. However, incentives from Mercedes and the German government lower their prices to €45,443.10 and €48,515.60 respectively.
Besides announcing the new variants, Mercedes revealed they have received more than 20,000 orders for the EQA since February. The automaker also teased a “version with particularly long range” for later this year.
