Opel Astra H OPC By JMS Has 19-Inch Alloys, Lower Ride Height

We know what you’re probably thinking: it’s not the mid-2000s, so why would we care about an old Opel Astra? And you have a point.

However, this is no ordinary three-door compact hatchback, but the hot OPC. In this spec, it used to do battle with the era’s Volkswagen Golf GTI, Renault Megane RS and other front-wheel drive hot hatchbacks.

The pictures are from via JMS, which is the tuning company behind the project. The car doesn’t feature that many updates, but the ones it does make it stand out even more. There is a lowering kit that has reduced ride height by 40 mm (1.6 in), a set of Karizzma rims from Barracuda in a two-tone finish, 8.5×19-inch in size wrapped in 225/35 tires, a K&N sports air filter, new catback exhaust system and aftermarket seatbelts inside.

The Astra H OPC is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 240 PS (237 HP / 177 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque and is hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint is completed in a little over six seconds, and top speed stands at 244 km/h (152 mph).
