A bizarre rollover crash was caught on camera over the weekend.
While details are limited, the video appears to show a Toyota Highlander illegally parked in the right lane. There’s no word on why the crossover was left there, but it could be that all the parking spaces were full.
Regardless, the crossover proved to be a major obstacle for one driver who enters the frame at the 12 second mark. As you can see, the sedan attempts to pass the Highlander but clips its rear quarter or rear tire. The impact sends the sedan skyward and the car flips on its side before coming to a rest on its roof. Shortly after the crash, a passenger exits the Highlander and appears unharmed.

There’s no word on the condition of the sedan driver, but it appears to have been a relatively low speed collision so hopefully they’re okay. That being said, it remains unclear why they hit the Highlander in the first place as there appears to have been plenty of room to go around it.
Of course, the Highlander driver is probably at fault as the accident wouldn’t have happened if they simply parked legally and weren’t blocking the right lane. However, the driver of the sedan shares some of the blame and no one is coming out a winner.
