Joining the likes of the diesel-powered version in ABT Sportsline’s catalogue, the Audi SQ8 TFSI can now dare take on the super SUV class.
With the tuner’s new engine control unit installed, the bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 kicks out 650 PS (641 HP / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to that 143 PS (141 HP / 105 kW) and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) boost over the stock model, the 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time drops from 4.1 to 3.8 seconds. Top speed has also increased by 20 km/h (12 mph) to 270 km/h (168 mph).
That means straight-line performance is on par with the RS Q8, whose V8 develops 600 PS (591 HP / 441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).

ABT offers the upgrades as a bundle, priced at €22,900 ($27,958) in Germany, excluding installation and paint costs that add another €3,445 ($4,206) to the cost. The ABT SQ8 is also available as a complete vehicle from €130,795 ($159,684), or €27,095 ($33,080) more than the stock model.

The new 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time takes around 3.5 seconds, and flat out, it is capable of doing 315 km/h (196 mph). The ABT RS Q8-R, which is the official designation of the vehicle, is limited to 125 units, a nod to the tuner’s 125th anniversary.
