Tesla didn’t miss an opportunity to advertise its upcoming electric pickup truck this weekend as, ahead of Elon Musk’s Saturday Night Live appearance, the Cybertruck was spotted driving around Manhattan.
Tesla itself tweeted a short video of the Cybertruck driving past Radio City Music Hall and it was quickly seen by others.
The Cybertruck has been on a bit of a publicity tour recently. Just last month, it was seen outside Tesla’s gigafactory in Austin. Unlike that footage, though, this is a good opportunity to watch it in traffic.

Seen next to people and other cars, the true scale of the Cybertruck is apparent. As we knew, it’s a sizable vehicle. It will be a powerful one, too.
Tesla was recently caught with a Ram TRX at its Fremont factory. The implication was that the 702 hp internal combustion truck is being used as a benchmark against which to compare the Cybertruck. When the electric truck will be released, though, is still a bit of a mystery.

In March, Musk promised that an updated version of the Cybertruck would come in the second quarter of 2021. He also promised that the team was focused on getting production, which will take place at its factory in Austin, Texas, rolling.
The Cybertruck is expected to be offered in three trims. The most expensive will be the tri-motor one. Capable of hitting 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, it will get 500 miles of range and will start at $69,900. The dual-motor version is expected to start at $49,000 and will get 300 miles of range, while the single motor will go more than 250 miles and start at $39,900.
