A 1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec imported to the U.S. in 2001 by defunct importer MotoRex has found its way on sale through Bring A Trailer.
Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, MotoRex and a handful of other companies began to legally import the Skyline R32, R33, and R34 GT-Rs into the United States, well before the 25 year rule made bringing the iconic Japanese sports cars Stateside so much easier. It is thought that roughly 60 R33-generation Skylines were imported to the U.S. two decades ago and this is one of them.
The exterior of the car is finished in Spark Silver and it includes a host of aggressive components including a rear wing, power-folding side mirrors, and gold-trimmed GT-R badges. Complementing the exterior design of the GT-R perfectly are 18-inch BBS LM wheels wrapped in 265/35 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. Among the key features of the car are the Super HICAS four-wheel steering, Brembo four-wheel disc brakes, height-adjustable Tein coilovers, and a Nismo strut tower brace.
Inside there’s lots of grey upholstery, automatic climate control, power windows, a Panasonic CD stereo, and an aftermarket remote start and alarm system. The listing confirms the car has 62,000 miles (100,000 km) on the clock.
Various upgrades have been made to the twin-turbocharged 2.6-liter RB26DETT engine, including a polished intake plenum, a split-plated charge pipe, Blitz intercooler, GReddy intercooler piping, and a Trust Power Extreme 2 catback exhaust system. The car also features ARP head studs. Coupled to this engine is a five-speed manual transmission powering all four wheels through a limited-slip rear differential.
