Long before Koenigsegg started building hypercars like the Regera and Jesko, the sole model in its range was the CCX. Now, a particularly gorgeous CCX is up for sale in the U.S. and looking for a new home.
The CCX in question is a 2008 model finished in Metallic Black. While it may be well over a decade old, it has only been driven 1,541 miles and according to Marshall Goldman, it said to be one of just 29 examples ever produced. Despite its rarity and desirability, it has an asking price of ‘only’ $1,259,900 – who ever said nice things come cheap?

Powering the Koenigsegg CCX is a 4.7-liter twin-supercharged V8 engine pumping out a cool 806 hp and 676 lb-ft of torque. Coupled to this engine is a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The car can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in the low 3-second range and continue through to a top speed exceeding 245 mph (395 km/h).
The listing confirms that the car was most recently served in July 2019 and has been driven just 20 miles since.
Like all Koenigseggs, the construction of the CCX is dominated by the use of lightweight carbon fiber but that doesn’t mean the car is without any luxuries. In fact, the interior features areas of quilted leather and Alcantara. The car also has a fire extinguisher, perfect if the new owner wants to go on a track day.
