The Tesla Model 3 may be one of the most popular premium sedans on the market at the moment but to our eyes at least, it’s not the best looking.

Compared to the Model S that still looks quite modern despite basically being nearly a decade old (although it recently got an update), the Model 3’s exterior is a little too bulbous for our liking. Fortunately, designer and YouTuber The Sketch Monkey recently spent some time overhauling the exterior design of Tesla’s entry-level sedan.

The updated Model 3 could probably be best described as a facelift rather than an all-new model but that doesn’t mean the changes aren’t noticeable. For example, The Sketch Monkey has overhauled the front fascia of the Model 3 with headlights radically different than those currently used by the car and somewhat similar to those of the second-generation Tesla Roadster.

The designer has created these headlights in such a way that they seamlessly connect to a small grille positioned quite low at the bumper, with the latter also sporting a pair of subtle fins.

Cast your eyes along the sides of the Model 3 and you will notice a new set of wheels, side skirt extensions, and a tweaked camera module behind the front wheels. While the design doesn’t show what updates he would like to make to the rear end, we can see that the taillights are no longer visible from the front three-quarter angle.
