While the vast majority of Porsche Cayenne owners will never even think about venturing off tarmac, a company out of California offers a plethora of upgrades for those rare few that do want to make the most of the SUV’s off-roading credentials.
That company is dubbed E-Motion Engineering and is the subject of a recent video from Hagerty that’s presented by Matt Farah. E-Motion has a wealth of experience modifying Porsche 911s and has used this experience to create a host of upgrades for the Cayenne that make it suitable for overlanding.
As Joey Seely from E-Motion Engineering tells Farah, its Cayennes are built for clients that want to continue to use their SUVs to take their kids to soccer practice or to go to the shops but also want something they can use to can take the family to the mountains for skiing and hiking trips.

Seely notes that the white Cayenne that is the subject of this video has a 2-inch lift and has been equipped with a set of beefed-up wheels and tires. He notes that it is difficult to lift a Cayenne by more than 2 inches without messing with the geometry. As such, E-Motion installs a sheet-metal undertray to protect all of its vital powertrain components. There are also rock sliders for added protection.
While reviewing the Cayenne, Farah notes that it drives pretty much the same as a stock one on the road but the off-road upgrades allow you to go well off the beaten path and enjoy nature to its fullest.
