It’s never a good idea to play fast and loose with highway traffic, especially when it comes to trucks. Given that, you’d think this van owner would avoid making a last-minute merge in front of one, but unfortunately, they had to find out the hard way.
The video comes from the truck’s point of view, and we can see as the Toyota van passes it on the left. They start to veer closer to the edge of the lane, but as the merge quickly approaches they begin to run out of room. Despite that, they chose to switch lanes anyway despite the truck being squarely alongside them, thus clipping the front of the truck and inadvertently PIT maneuvering themselves.

The truck then pushed them along sideways for a few feet before they recovered, but it didn’t stop there. The van then swung the other way and veered off the side of the road, ironically ending up in the lane they would’ve been in had they not merged. The truck subsequently pulls over with the video feed still running, suggesting that its drivers possibly went to check on the people in the van.
In this particular situation, it was difficult to tell who exactly was at fault. On one hand, the van did have their turn signal on before the truck was alongside them, and the truck didn’t appear to slow down for them at all despite that. However, it could also be argued that the van driver shouldn’t have attempted the move at all after seeing the truck alongside them.
