The BMW 2002 Turbo is one of the car manufacturer’s most recognizable models and if you’re willing to spend six figures for one, this 2002 Turbo might just do the trick.
Listed up for auction on Bring A Trailer, the car is finished in Polaris Metallic and was only imported into the United States by the selling dealer in October 2019. It is one of just 1,672 examples built during a two-year production run and was delivered new to Verona, Italy where it remained until the previous owner brought it to Slovenia in 1999.

The listing states that the car underwent a multi-year refurbishment completed in 2013 and that the engine was overhauled prior to its importation into the U.S. That engine, by the way, is a 2.0-liter inline-four with mechanical fuel injection, a turbocharger, 6.9:1 compression pistons, and an auxiliary oil cooler. In October 2020, the fuel injector pump and turbocharger were rebuilt while the warm-up transmitter and turbo aneroid were reconditioned and recalibrated.
Mated to this four-cylinder is a four-speed manual transmission sending power through the rear wheels courtesy of a limited-slip differential.
Of the 1,672 vehicles that BMW produced, 614 of them were painted in Polaris Metallic like this one. The car sits on Alpina 13-inch wheels wrapped in Firestone Firehawk 660 tires with 205/60 tires at all four corners. Bringing the car to a stop are front discs and rear drum brakes.
Found in the cabin are black sport bucket seats, square-weave carpets, a fire extinguisher, and a Blaupunkt radio. The odometer reads just over 6,000 km but the car’s total mileage is unknown.
