A one-off 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo Slantnose is heading to auction in late July and has all the right ingredients to sell for a very high price.
Back in the day, Porsche offered the 911 with a ‘Slantnose’ package that overhauled the car’s front fascia for roughly $50,000. There aren’t all that many Slantnose models out there and those that have hit the used car market recently, have sky-high prices.
This particular 930 Turbo Slantnose will be offered for sale through Mecum Auctions and was custom built through Porsche’s Special Wishes program. It is finished in Guards Red and has been equipped with silver and gold BBS wheels. The famed Slantnose package also has a transformative effect on the car’s front fascia, immediately distinguishing it from the regular 930 Turbo.

The inside is just as special as the outside and is adorned in Champagne-colored leather across the dashboard, seats, door panels, steering wheel, center console, and transmission tunnel. The interior appears to be in excellent condition despite the car’s age, indicating that the previous owner took very good care of it.
The car is in such fine condition that it has actually secured a handful of awards over the years, including second place in the Gold Coast PCA Porsches By The Bay Concours d’Elegance in 2018.
As a 930-generation 911 Turbo, it is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six that typically produces 282 hp and 278 lb-ft (377 Nm) of torque in U.S. specification. However, this model includes the available power kit from the factory that lifted grunt to beyond the 300 hp mark. It is being auctioned off with 46,000 miles (74,029 km) on the clock.
