Fiat has facelifted the Ducato for the second time in 15 years, as the van is basically the same under the skin since its launch in 2006.
Even so, the Ducato was the best-selling light commercial vehicle in Europe last year with 150,000 units sold, an 8 per cent increase over 2019. Evidently, Fiat took this as a sign that customers still like the current-generation Ducato despite its age and has updated it to bring it into the modern world.

Changes start on the styling front with new LED headlights and daytime running lights. There is also a new grille and front skid plates. Fiat has also introduced a new color dubbed Lanzarote Grey.
More significant updates have been made to the cabin. The 2021 Fiat Ducato now features Keyless Entry and Go, an electric parking brake, dual USB-A and USB-C ports, a 230-volt power socket, and a heated windshield. The seats have also been improved and now offer more padding for enhanced comfort. An all-digital gauge cluster has also been fitted and works alongside infotainment screens available in 7-inch and 10-inch forms, both of which support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mechanical changes have also been made to ensure the vehicle meets Euro 6D-Final regulations. As such, it is sold with a new Multijet3 diesel engine offered in 120 hp, 140 hp, 160 hp, and 180 hp configurations with a six-speed manual and 140 hp, 160 hp, and 180 hp forms with the automatic transmission. Fiat has also replaced the conventional power steering with a self-adjusting electrically-assisted system that makes parking easier.
Finally, new safety technologies have been fitted, providing the van with Level 2 autonomous driving. Features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Cross-Wind Assist, Trailer Stability Control, and Active Park Assist.
