The days of bare bone pickups are long gone as Ford, GMC and Ram battle to have the most luxurious and high-tech truck.

That journey began long ago and Ram entered the luxury truck race in 2012 with the Limited trim. It’s now a decade old and the company is celebrating with a 10th Anniversary Edition.

Looking instantly recognizable, the truck has a familiar design but is available with an exclusive Blue Shade paint job. Buyers will also find a multifunction tailgate, adjustable cargo tie down hooks and a center-mounted Mopar bed step.

Those are nice features, but luxury pickups are all about the interior. Thankfully, the 10th Anniversary Edition doesn’t disappoint as buyers will find quilted leather seats and door panels as well as suede upholstery on the headliner and A-pillars. The model also features a new two-tone design with Aluminum Litho accents as well as genuine wood trim. Other highlights include metal pedals, a unique shifter, 10th anniversary badging and a 19-speaker premium audio system.

Ram didn’t release full details, but we can also expect heated / ventilated front seats, a 12-inch infotainment system and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.

The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition will go on sale in the third quarter and be available exclusively in Crew Cab configurations. It features a 5.7-liter V8 – that produces 395 hp (291 kW / 400 PS) and 410 lb-ft (556 Nm) of torque – with eTorque mild-hybrid assist technology. Customers can also opt for a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 producing 260 hp (194 kW / 264 PS) and 480 lb-ft (651 Nm) of torque.

Pricing starts at $60,175 before factoring in a $1,695 destination fee. That’s a significant increase over the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited, which begins at $56,950 before destination charges.
