Construction sites and other work zones are inherently dangerous, which is why it’s important that everyone in them is alert at all times. If not, then something like the events of this video could happen, in which the operator of a dump truck accidentally ran over a Suzuki SUV with people still inside.

As reported by Tengrinews, the incident took place at a quarry located in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The three men inside the SUV were technicians sent to fix the truck’s air conditioning, and from the Suzuki’s dashcam, we can see the terrifying ordeal as the vehicle got run over. It begins with the dump truck turning its wheels to point directly at the SUV, which is an ominous sight right from the get-go.

The truck continues toward the car, and it was at this point the men realized the it wasn’t stopping. They began to shout at the dump truck in hopes that the driver might hear, but to no avail. We then see as the truck runs over the SUV, crushing it and tipping it on its side. The driver likely encountered the resistance of the car being wedged under his truck, and finally stopped. Thankfully, all the men in the Suzuki were able to escape and there were no reported injuries.

This definitely was a freak accident. Vehicles as small as the SUV rarely encounter those as large as the dump truck, and the Suzuki likely fell into one of its many massive blind spots when the truck driver wasn’t expecting it. In any case, the whole thing could have turned out much, much worse, so everyone involved should be thankful that no one was harmed.

H/T to The Drive!
