The 2022 Kia Cerato has officially touched down on Aussie shores with prices starting at AU$25,990 (US$20,157) drive away.
Kia hasn’t made huge upgrades to the facelifted Cerato but it has tweaked various parts of its design. For example, it now has more modern headlights with incorporated LED daytime running lights while the rear end has been updated with fresh new taillights and a different bumper.
As mentioned, prices start at AU$25,990 for the entry-level Cerato S and rise to AU$27,990 (US$21,709) for the Sport and AU$32,690 (US$25,354) for the Sport +, and top out at AU$36,990 (US$28,689) for the GT. Pricing for the Hatch and Sedan models will be identical.

Key features of the Cerato S include LED daytime running lights, LED positioning lamps, LED brake light on the hatch, 16-inch steel wheels, an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4.2-inch TFT LCD instrument display, Leading Vehicle Departure, Lane Follow Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Rear Occupant Alert, and High Beam Assist. A six-speaker audio system is also standard.
Meanwhile, the Cerato Sport comes with unique 17-inch wheels, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display with DAB digital radio and wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes auto reverse wipers, sport patterned cloth seats, and illuminated vanity mirrors. Updates enjoyed by the Cerato Sport + included larger rear brakes, an electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, Blind Sport Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. It also receives an electrochromic rear-view mirror and leather seats.
The 2022 Kia Cerato S, Sport, and Sport + models all feature a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine with 112 kW (150 hp) and 192 Nm (146 lb-ft) of torque.
The flagship Cerato GT is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 201 hp (150 kW) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) of torque. The GT also has a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, multi-link rear suspension, larger brakes, 18-inch wheels, and a sportier exterior design, as well as an eight-speaker sound system from JBL.
