Ferrari is getting ready to unveil its new V6 hybrid supercar on June 24 with the presentation starting at 8:30AM EST or 2:30 CET.
The car has been spied testing on a handful of occasions in recent months and while it isn’t teased in this video, we do get to hear from FDA Esports driver and 2019 F1 Pro Series World Champion David Tonizza defining what he considers ‘fun to drive,’ the tagline used to promote the new car.
While Ferrari has done a good job of keeping details about its new supercar under wraps, the F171 codenamed 296 GTB will be a V6 hybrid.

The supercar’s V6 is expected to take the form of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo unit that will be supplemented with an electric motor that gives the car the ability to be driven solely on electric power. Ferrari’s F171 will act as a direct rival to the hybrid McLaren Artura with its 670 hp and could end up offering very similar levels of performance to the F8 Tributo, albeit for less money and without eight-cylinders.
It is difficult to comment on the exterior design of the 296 GTB as the only prototypes spied have been adorned with camouflage and body cladding. With that being said, all signs point towards the car taking design inspiration from the flagship Ferrari SF90 Stradale, including a familiar front fascia and similar headlights. Interior details remain a mystery but it’s reasonable to assume that it too will also have some similarities to the cabin of the SF90.
