A Fiat driver should be happy to be emerge unscathed after being run off a highway near Samsun, Turkey. The incident appears to have been caused by road rage.
The incident was recorded near Samsun on the Black Sea coast about 450 miles east of Istanbul. Throughout the video, the two drivers jockey for position on the road with each driver blocking the other at different points in the video.
The Fiat, known as the Fiorino Panorama in Turkey and the Qubo in other markets, appears to start the altercation. Why the driver is so intent on antagonizing the truck early on is unclear.
Regardless, by the end of the video, the truck is weaving from lane to lane blocking the Fiat. Following an unsuccessful attempt at passing another transport truck on the righthand shoulder, the Fiorino driver lets off the throttle and sits back for a moment. Unsatisfied, he then accelerates and tries another maneuver on the right side shoulder.

This ends poorly when the truck pushes the Fiat too far off the side of the road and into a ditch. As the Fiat exits the ditch, it slides across the road and onto the left-side shoulder before slowly pulling back across the road and coming to a relatively safe stop.
Fortunately, the accident, though no doubt troubling to the driver of the Fiat, appears to be much less violent than it could have easily been. Another blessing is that no one else was collected in the incident.
While picking a fight with a trucker seems unwise, that certainly does not excuse the trucker running anyone off the road.
