A leaked roadmap from Honda’s U.S. marketing department has revealed that the 2022 Civic Hatch will go on sale in September while a Civic Si will join the line-up in October.
The roadmap details the various marketing initiatives that Honda is implementing to promote the launch of the 11th-generation Civic. While the document from the Civic Xi forum doesn’t include any photos or details about the Civic hatch or Si, those interested in the Japanese compact model will no doubt be pleased that the range is quickly growing.
The new 2022 Civic Sedan is available exclusively with a CVT but the hatch and Si models will be offered with a manual transmission.

Recent teaser images of the 2022 Civic hatch reveal that it will sport a more tapered roofline than the sedan and also come equipped with distinctive taillights, although not as bold as the crab-claw ones of the previous-generation model.
As for the new Civic Si, it will likely be offered in both Sedan and Hatch guise, as the 10th-generation model was sold as both a sedan and a two-door coupe. It will benefit from a handful of styling modifications to make it stand out from lesser variants and may have a centrally-exiting tailpipe just like its predecessor. Powertrain details remain unclear but it could feature the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder offered in other Civic variants, albeit modified to produce a touch over 200 hp.
