A couple of months ago, Manhart unveiled their modified BMW M3 and M4 duo and in this clip from AutoTopNL, we get to see the M3 model in action.

The M3 and M4 both feature a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine that in Competition spec delivers a touch over 500 hp. Manhart has given both cars its MHtronik Powerbox while also fitting bespoke exhaust systems that boost power up to 611 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque.

The new exhaust note of the Manhart-tuned BMW M3 is the first thing that stands out in this video. It is much louder than the standard car and while it’s perhaps not the most appealing soundtrack, it certainly adds a new appeal to the sports sedan.

AutoTopNL also had an opportunity to test out the performance of the car. With launch control enabled, the Manhart M3 hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.94 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 10.50 seconds, ran down the quarter-mile in 11.37 seconds and completed the half-mile in 17.58 seconds. It was driven through to a GPS-verified speed of 295 km/h (183 mph), although it still had some speed up its sleeve.

Recent reveals of the new BMW M3 and M4 have confirmed that both are very controllable on the limit and during this video, we get to see the M3 powersliding out of corners with ease.

While Manhart was one of the first aftermarket tuners to get their hand on the new M3/M4, we expect to see many other companies follow suit in the coming months.
