California Relents, Allows Porsche To Sell Manual 911 GT3 And 911 GT3 Touring
The Save The Manual’s movement scored a big win yesterday, as it was announced that the GT3 and GT3 Touring will both be fully legal in all 50 states. Previously it was announced that Californian residents would not be able to purchase a row-it-yourself GT3 or GT3 Touring due to noise-related tests it needed to pass. But now Porsche has been able to work with the California DMV and California Highway Patrol to “quickly identify [an] appropriate regulatory path forward.”
2022 Porsche 911 Range Expands With New GTS Coupe, Convertible And Targa Models
More good news from the Porsche camp: the 911 line-up has begun to expand for 2022. Hot on the heels of the GT3 Touring comes the GTS. The GTS is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six making 473-hp (480 PS / 353 kW) and 420 lb-ft (570Nm). Available in three body styles, you get the choice of coupe, convertible, and Targa configurations, the latter of which is only available in AWD.
