Mercedes-AMG has partnered with London skateboard and streetwear company Palace to create a special livery for the AMG GT3 race car. The design will be featured on Mercedes-AMG Team HRT’s car number 6 and it’ll make its debut at the ADAC Total 24-hour race at the Nürburgring on June 4.
The livery is said to be inspired by the sights, sounds, and energy of endurance racing, and prominently features a sabretooth tiger on its hood and a modified AMG crest on its sides to represent their shared wildness. The orange in the color scheme evokes the tiger’s fur, as well as the sunsets of its Indian savannah habitat when combined with the violet, black, and white.

With this collaboration also comes a line of clothing and accessories, which Palace will begin selling the same day as the race begins on June 4. Like the race car’s livery, it features the same combination of AMG crests and sabretooth tigers, as well as the same tiger and savannah sunset color palette.
“The partnership with Palace underlines the transformation of our Mercedes-AMG brand towards more lifestyle. We are opening up to new target groups and sending out strong signals with spectacular and surprising campaigns that further sharpen the brand orientation of Mercedes-AMG,” says Philipp Schiemer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
Palace also commented on the partnership: “We love working with the best in their field, and AMG is just that. We are very proud to be participating in such a great motorsport event as the ADAC Total 24-hour race with a racing car that bears our rowdy livery.”
