As part of a recent campaign called Reflections of Passion, Porsche Middle East and Africa turned the Panamera over to photographer and artist Baber Afzal and gave him a creative blank cheque to do whatever he wanted with the car as long as beautiful pictures came out the other side.
Afzal returned with these shots of the Panamera in the Middle-Eastern desert. Surrounded by the stark landscape, the photos are turned surreal thanks to drones employed as paintbrushes for light painting.
The images include the Panamera surrounded by the stunning landscape, along with simple neon shapes hanging in the air, providing a stark counterpoint.

“The Panamera car itself inspired me for this concept,” says Afzal. “I wanted to express its beautiful contours and its shape at a grand scale using drone light painting and by mixing it with the night sky and to merge it with nature and the environment.”
These pictures are part of a series taken by a selection of artists who were given free rein by Porsche to create whatever they wanted.
