While low-mileage examples of the Ford GT fetching over $1 million in auctions are not a rare sight, this 2019 model offered by Bring A Trailer grasped our attention because of its cool specification and pristine condition.

With an original sticker price of $612,695 and only 506 miles in the odometer, this Ford GT sold for $1,010,000, netting its owner a $397,305 profit (before any expenses).

Even though it was launched back in 2015, the Ford GT still looks amazing today, with its low stance and signature flying buttresses making it stand out from the crowd.

In this particular example, the matte black exterior with alloy overtop stripes was a special order ($40k), perfectly matching the matte carbon fiber exterior trim and the amazing 20-inch carbon-fiber rims which were a $15k option. Behind them, we can see the huge carbon-ceramic brakes (15.5-inch at the front and 14.1-inch at the back) with orange-painted brake calipers. All told, the original buyer paid $117,445 in extras on top of the $491,500 base MSRP.

Opening the butterfly doors, you will come across a combination of black and orange upholstery (Launch Control package), and of course, the exposed carbon fiber tub. The dashboard with its simple design and digital cockpit looks fresh, although some people might find the color contrast too flashy for their taste. The driver’s seat might be fixed but the pedal box and steering column are adjustable, so the new owner can find his perfect spot behind the Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with integrated paddles.

The twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 produces 647 hp (482 kW / 655 PS) and 550 lb-ft (746 Nm) of torque which are srnt to the rear axle through Getrag’s dual-clutch gearbox. There is also hydraulically adjustable pushrod suspension, active rear wing, titanium exhaust, launch control, and selectable drive modes fitted as standard. The GT is capable of a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 216 mph (347 km/h).

The car was purchased new in Montana and has a clean California title. The new owner also received the original window sticker, accessories, photos from the build, car covers, promotional material and two keys.

While, like all used Ford GT models, this one commanded a sizeable premium, the unique color combination and the virtually untouched interior make us crave this particular example. Let’s hope the new owner will grasp the opportunity to enjoy it on the road and not keep it locked up as a garage queen.
