Fisker finalized its manufacturing deal with Magna International earlier this week. This partnership will see production of the Ocean start on November 17, 2022 at Magna’s carbon-neutral manufacturing facility in Graz, Austria. The agreement between the two companies covers planned volumes, manufacturing costs, quality metrics, critical planning and launch phases, and encompasses all facility investments including a bodyshop that will support the Ocean program through to 2029.
Earlier this month, Fisker confirmed plans to build a climate-neutral vehicle currently known as Project PEAR (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution) by 2027. This model will use recycled materials and remanufactured components and be built at plants run exclusively on renewable energy.
