Hot on the heels of unveiling the 2022 Buick Enclave, General Motors has released two sketches that show what the SUV could have looked like.
Compared to the pre-facelift Enclave, the new model benefits from more aggressive front and rear fascias. These sketches posted by GM Design come from Geoffrey Richmond and show how the Enclave might have looked if it didn’t needed to be toned down for production.
The front fascia of the Buick in the sketches sports more angular headlights and a slimmer blacked-out grille. The SUV also ditches the chunky fog lights of the production model in favor of thin LED daytime running lights. Richmond has also made the lower front grille much more striking than the road-going model.

Alterations continue at the sides with the fitment of larger wheels and a slightly sleeker and more tapered roofline. The rear has also been changed and sports smaller taillights connected by a piece of chrome trim. In addition, the rear bumper is that much more eye-catching and has a piece of chrome trim sitting above the tailpipes on either side.
The actual production 2022 Buick Enclave
The production 2022 Buick Enclave is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 pumping out 310 hp and 266 lb-ft (361 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels as standard, although all-wheel drive is available.
